Our 2011 Carols by Twilight will feature headlining act Andrew Wishart from XFactor 2011.CAROLS by Twilight will have residents singing and along to new hits and timeless carols at its 36th annual event this month.On Christmas Eve every year, more than 7000 people gather at Max Pawsey Reserve every year to celebrate Christmas.The event is hosted by Casey City Church, and will feature a range of performances from up and coming bands and other well-known artists.This year will feature Andrew Wishart, runner up of XFactor 2011, and local resident. Andrew continually impressed judges and fans in this year's TV talent search, and made through to the Grand Final with reportedly just a fraction of a difference in votes to the winner Reece Mastin. Andrew went from nut salesman, to overnight singing sensation and is now focusing on building his music career, and touring in the new year. The City of Casey is privileged to feature such a well known talent, who happens to be a local Casey resident, living with his family on a farm in Clyde.Local up and coming artists including Chasing Aces featuring lead singer Sean Sebastian will feature on-stage from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, and the main event will start at 8pm.Some of the other artists include X Factor 2010 contestant, Madison Pritchett, Daniel Kelaart from Remission Theory and Jessica-Jade Bruce who has recently returned from Nashville recording and touring. The Casey City Church band will be performing and providing BVs for the artists.Local Radio Station, 3SER will be live broadcasting the main event.Eveready will be providing battery powered candles to purchase on arrival to add twinkle to the celebrations.Funding for the free family event has been generously supplied by the Casey Council, Bank of Queensland - Preston, Hillcrest Christian College, and other local sponsors.The event draws a large crowd and residents are encouraged to get there early to get the best spot. Food and drinks are available for purchase and there is entertainment for the children.
